The FBDi profile

Welcome to the German Fachverband der Bauelemente Distribution e.V. (Professional Association of Component Distribution).

The FBDi e.V. has been an established player in the German association community since 2003 and represents a large share of the distributors of electronic components with operations in Germany. To be precise, our members account for more than 73% of the distribution turnover for electronic components.

One of our main areas of focus is the preparation and advancement of numerical data and statistics concerning the German distribution market for electronic components. In addition, our engagement with work groups and our reporting on important industry themes (including education, logistics, product liability, market and future) represent key pillars of the association’s work.

The exchange of experience and opinion within the association forms the basis for information about market- and competition-relevant developments and positions that is specifically tailored to the needs of distributors. This provides our members with a valuable competitive edge, new stimuli and support.

The FBDi’s membership of the International Distribution of Electronics Association (IDEA) fosters exchanges with other associations at European level.

The platform for the support of Technical Business Economists.

More and more, an interdisciplinary, forward-looking and agile way of thinking is deciding between success and failure.

Therefore, companies are always looking for qualified employees who are capable of development and, above all, willing to evolve. People who do not rest on their achievements, but who constantly find and accept new challenges.

It is important for FBDi to find such "potentials" and to pave the way for common action for its members. Especially in the complex world of distribution, the technical business economist is a "multitool" and therefore we are looking forward to discovering the possibilities together.
