24. November 2017

VIktor Yamane,Senior Manager Sales & Engineering Department, Ryosan Europe GmbH

The European branch of Ryosan, a distributor with Japanese roots, is putting its trust in the FBDi association's platform. Founded in 1953, the company specialises in sales of semiconductors, electronic components and electronic equipment. It maintains 50 sales offices worldwide, mainly in Japan and Asia, and has operated a European head office in Germany since 2012.

Ryosan strives to combine the progress of humans and technology by coordinating electronic systems. Three key functions are the driving factors in this regard: information and data supply, solution and technology delivery as well as distribution and logistics. Through constant further development of these functions, Ryosan targets enhanced customer satisfaction and added value.

The company’s financial stability, combined with its extensive global support network and customer proximity, provide a secure foundation for cooperation with manufacturers. Ryosan sees its rapid customer response as a particular advantage. This is based on numerous business units, both domestic and international, which are generally located near manufacturers of electronics and electronic components. Special systems and supply chains enable rapid and targeted coordination between the plants in Japan and elsewhere.

Through its participation in customer product planning and development phases, particularly in the case of semiconductors, Ryosan can offer customer-specific support and expertise in the selection of systems.

Speaking about the membership of the FBDi association, Viktor Yamane, Head of Branch Office Düsseldorf and Senior Manager Sales & Engineering, pledges to engage constructively in exchanging information with other distributors:

“Environmental issues, in particular, pose a major challenge in the day-to-day operations of a distributor. In these times of stricter market supervision, professional support is becoming increasingly important. We see the collective work of the association as an enormous advantage in dealing with EU regulations. We also regard the ‘authorised source’ quality seal as a further advantage that fits well with our corporate philosophy. In this way, our customers can be sure that they only receive premium quality from us.”

FBDI seal of approval ‘Authorised Source’

The FBDi 'Authorised Source' seal of approval ensures that the relevant association member only supplies original goods to the market from a licensed manufacturer or goods purchased from a franchised distributor of the respective manufacturer. The prerequisite for gaining the seal of approval is FBDi membership and status as a franchised distributor of the product manufacturer.
